Neil Evans' musical journey began humbly harmonizing with siblings at home and singing in church but his extraordinary talent soon set him apart. Born in Mandeville, Manchester, into a musically gifted family, Evans believed singing was as natural as speaking. By age 10, his sister taught him three guitar chords, sparking his love for songwriting. At 12, he joined his sisters' group, evolving into "Neil Evans and Sisters," performing across Manchester with their soul-stirring harmonies. High school saw Evans singing with friends, collaborating with DJs, and even crafting songs to celebrate sports victories. A spontaneous hallway performance of a Lionel Richie song at Belair High turned heads, cementing his status as a standout talent. Though he pursued engineering at UTECH (formerly CAST), music remained his true passion. He juggled gospel reggae performances, DJing, recording in his bedroom, and later enrolling at Edna Manley College for jewelry making, a path that unexpectedly reignited his musical drive being required to take a music class. A songwriting assignment impressed his professor, steering him toward music full-time. After traveling around Jamaica with his sisters singing in churches and doing concerts, many solo performances and written songs, Evans eventually formed his band, Neil Evans and CREW, gaining international traction. Along the way he encountered a few disappointing hurdles and a long hiatus, but managed to return stronger, topping UK radio charts and becoming the first to collaborate with Papa San in gospel. For Evans, music is a divine calling and every triumph, struggle, and lesson fuels his lyrics. Now, with Kairos Creation Productions, he continues creating timeless, genre-spanning works, proving his story, like his music, is far from over.
