The D'Vitalights are poised to make a lasting impact on the music scene with their upcoming summer release, "Giving Back a Portion". This infectious track is a masterful fusion of Afrobeat, reggae, and hi-pop that will keep you moving all summer long.

The Making of "Giving Back a Portion"

The journey of creating "Giving Back a Portion" was a collaborative effort involving some of the industry's top talent. It all began with Lawrence Whyte, a young and talented producer from Sierra Leone, who arranged the beat. The evolution continued at Tuff Gong International Studio, where a live bass element was added under the guidance of engineer ONeil Anthony Smith, aka Mondez.

Bringing the Track to Life

To fine-tune the track, Richard Campbell, also known as Goofy, brought his expertise to the table. As a member of the internationally acclaimed Big Mountain band and a skilled musician who has worked with renowned artists such as Maxi Priest, Tanya Stephens, and Shaggy, Goofy added his proficiency to the track. Robert Angus, renowned as Beris Hammond's lead guitarist and a long time collaberator of the Kairos brand, added his melodic flavour, making the beat truly unforgettable.

The Main Vocalists

The vocals were brought to life by John Sharpe, who recorded the main vocals for D'Vitalights. Stephen Blake, aka Di Pasta, added his unmistakable flair, elevating the track to new heights. Tamekia Moncrieffe also known as Tammi T, a seasoned background singer who has worked with legendary artists like Jimmy Cliff, and Stephen Marley, contributed her soulful voice.

The Final Touches

Michael 'Askell' Fairman from Vision House Records, known for his work with prominent artists in Jamaica, including Kargo, Christopher Martin, Buju, and Cutty Ranks, produced the original song with the D'Vitalights and handled the overdubbing on the remix. Then off it went to the

grammy award-winning engineer Delroy "Phatta" Pottinger expertly mixed the track at Anchor Studio. Once satisfied, the team sent the song to Xavier "Lek" Farré the grammy nominated mastering engineer, who is a graduate of Rels B Middlesex University in Barcelona, Spain.
